The commission
A suite is a sourcing exercise before it is anything else. The rubies were assembled so that the colour is consistent from the necklace to the ring, and the diamond clusters were designed around each stone rather than to a template.
Worn together or apart, the pieces share the same language: a ruby at the centre, a surround of white diamonds, and gold that warms both.
